how do these championships work? I’m so confused haha

whomever is top of standings at the end of season is the domestic league champion for that country. Then they have cup competitions which is similar to a playoff/ March madness knockout format, but they are played during the season and separate from the league matches.

There is no regular season then post season playoffs in soccer, maybe MLS but I don’t watch that to know.
