I think Liverpool will 'struggle' (for them) this season with injuries... If we looks at Klopp's history (and criticism), he normally has a few good seasons then the high intensity training and games catches up to the players and they start getting fatigue and injuries... VVD and Robinson being current examples...

Although, they got still got time to buy players during the window, so that could all change...

Done mine earlier today but thanks for the reminder nonetheless

Sidenote: it had me straight into the AbW league whereas other private leagues, I've had to re-enter the code to enter again

Website only asked if I wanted to reactivate the league so I said yeah. Dunno what others are doing that are making people re-enter codes.

Like I said before, I’m at the bowling alley Saturday mornings now so I don’t have to see the heartache live. Now Sunday, it’s a different story.

Let me give you some optimism
  • Since losing Ancelotti abruptly, you've recruited a very strong renowned and experienced manager in benitez (regardless of a lot of the fans' hate of appointment, his track record is up there)
  • Olympic gold winner Richarlison is not injured through all the games played over summer including copa America. He's likely to stay and raring to go for this season
  • On the flip side, DCL barely played in the euros so he's fresh as a daisy and I'm sure he'll want to prove his worth to Southgate for more playing time for the wc2022 squad
  • Pickford redeemed himself and reputation in the euros and pulled off a worldie save from the "99% guarantee of a goal" penalty from Jorginho. Again he will be buzzing to take his England euros form into the season
  • Defence looks good... No key missing personnel to start of season
  • Recruitment wise, there's a really good play somewhere in demarai gray and playing as #10, perhaps benitez can get it out of him the same way Ancelotti worked his own magic on DCL
  • Townsend is experienced Prem player, rarely injured, dependable and high work rate. Lacks pace but will put in a shift and more importantly loves to whip a cross in quickly so DCL might form a great combo there
  • Begovic is credible as a #2 should Pickford turn to old form
  • You've got approval for the new stadium at long last
  • James is still there... But the less said about midfielders the better right now

Good write up with some positives.

I’m still not getting my hopes up.
