Chelsea told arguably their "biggest legend" in their history "thanks for the memories" but kick rocks and went on to win the champions league.
Ole definitely ain't the level of legend at Man United as what lampard is to Chelsea, so there's a lesson there for Man United's hierarchy to consider if things don't improve within the next 6 weeks in terms of results and performances
