I don't think it was necessarily a mistake to not play Ronaldo if he was giving him a rest given the early lunchtime fixture (I mean he has to be benched at some point in the season), however United's next game isn't until the 16th so did seem strange especially given that he was fit enough to come on in this game

Its a home game though and theres no game next week, plus was planning on bringing him on anyways... Either start him and take him off or leave him out completely if he needs a rest that badly... Its always gonna be a tough game against Everton/Rafa...
