The Official 2020/21 NBA Thread

The funny shit about it all is how good KD and Harden looked. They even beat the Bucks, which was is one of the top teams in the league.

Then Kyrie comes back, and back to back losses to the Cavs.

I know that shit bothers Kyrie cause its gonna lead the media to run with the narrative that Kyrie makes teams worse

Lololololol

The Kings explored trades for Bjelica around the time of the November draft and will likely continue to do so as they begin to rebuild over the next two to four years with players who fit Fox’s timeline, a source said. The organization’s emphasis on developing younger players has temporarily, at least, eliminated the role of Bjelica, a 32-year-old power forward who had a career year for the Kings last season. – via Sacramento Bee

The Heat recently released guidelines for fans planning to attend a game, and it included an entire video, seen above, showing how a group of specially trained dogs will be on hand to sniff fans to see if they have COVID-19 as they enter the arena. Because apparently dogs can do that now. Specifically, fans will stand in a distanced line, at which point an employee will guide a dog past the line. If a dog signals it has detected the coronavirus by sitting down in front of a person, that person and their entire group will be denied entry to the arena. – via Jack Baer @ Yahoo! Sports

The Miami Heat are planning to allow fans into AmericanAirlines Arena again starting on Jan. 28, and those fans can expect the usual gamut of COVID-19 precautions: mandatory masks, social distancing, increased cleaning, limited attendance. And dogs

Opposing teams have a negative-3.3 percentage point effective field goal percentage with Capela in the game, shooting 3.2 percentage points worse at the rim and 8.5 percentage points worse in the midrange, per Cleaning The Glass. He has been a difference-maker for the Hawks defensively, particularly in the past few games. “I think it’s just understanding our concepts and picking and choosing the spots where he can be a tremendous helper,” coach Lloyd Pierce said. – via Chris Kirschner @ The Athletic

me and my homie set (best seats I've ever had at a pro event) literally right behind the visitor bench. Me and him were talking so much shit that Tony Battie turned around laughing and told us we were crazy. LMAO.
