He always was a role player. He is a good player on a championship team. Bad player on a non-playoff team.

Sidenote: Kyrie is one of those people that seem to fall apart when shit hits the fan. He has the advantage of being a super talented ballplayer and people afford him the grace to fuck off and do his thing without any serious repercussions to his financial security. The rest of the league showed up to work and played and this man over here in his feelings and shit. Shit most of America showed the fuck up. Nothing wrong with being emo and shit but that doesn't mean people gotta put up with your emo ass.

If Kyrie was number 15 on a depth chart, he would've been cut.

The thing with Kyrie thats so interesting to me is that everything he wants to do to change the world, hes allowed to do because of basketball.

Its kind of that love hate relationship with basketball thats interesting to me on a human level.

Like you want to talk about social issues, but the reason you have a voice that people hear is because you can ball. So you hate that basketball gets in the way, but without basketball, you just a regular dude.

Kyrie should definetly keep using his voice, but he needs to come to terms that basketball and his activism can go hand in hand and complement each other.
