No, but would he do it ,YES. He would also help develop Sexton and Garland. This is for the same reason why Chris Paul didn't complain in OKC....
So he could show his worth and getting traded to a potential championship team in a year
He ain’t Chris Paul…. He mess around and tank his value even more.

I don't think the Knicks will do the trade but they have a lot of cap space coming up and could absorb the contract without having to really match Kemba's deal.

If the Knicks are smart they should see if they could get a younger disgruntled star player (that resides in the Pacific northwest LMAO) with less health issues

That scenario is a non starter.

And I know your not talking about Lillard either. They barely have enough for McCollum.

Chris paul was 35 and in a different stage of his career when that scenario manifested. Kemba is 31 playing for new deal, not playing out his last.

Maybe.. but will he do the best he can so he can still get paid his max money and look like an attractive trade offer to a contender definitely.

Think of it this way. If he had been injury free, averaged 20-25 point, 7 assists and was a good locker room guy THIS year both the Lakers and Clippers would have considered a trade. Not saying it would have happened, but a deal could have legitimately been made.

On a bottom 20% team all those things would be easier for him to achieve next year, plus he could take some games off to limit the chance of injury and give the CAV's young guards more playing time. It seems like a way for the Cav's to flip him for pieces and maybe a 2nd round pick in a year, and the other team get someone that can playmake and consistently get his own shot.

The Lakers would still be playing now if they had had that this year outside of their big 2.

Vasilije Micic has emerged as one of the top players in Europe and his NBA rights are owned by the Oklahoma City Thunder following last year's trade with the Philadelphia 76ers involving Al Horford.
Micic was the 52nd overall pick in 2014 and currently plays for Anadolu Efes in Istanbul. Micic was MVP of the EuroLeague this season.
Micic and the Thunder each appear to prefer to wait until after the draft to make a decision on whether he will join the team.
Micic's agent, Misko Raznatovic, recently said he doesn't want him to have the same fate as Vassilis Spanoulis, who played sparingly in his one season in the NBA.

I think the next step in player empowerment might be a young star taking the QO to hit UFA super early. Think we see it this decade
