On the real, a Thibs system cannot exist with a player like Zion.
Thibs shit is all about hard work and effort. Everyone buys in. And the best players play the most minutes.
You add a player like Zion to that, whose play time and effort has to be managed seperately from the rest of the team and the shit falls apart.
You saw what Randle was doing against the Lakers? Everytime Randle shot a free throw, the Lakers had AD wait under the other basket. Soon as Randle shot the 2nd freethrow, he sprinted full speed back to guard AD so that they couldnt throw a full court pass to him.
It takes your best player doing shit like that for a Thibs system to work.
Zions body would break down with that type of effort. This aint no disrespect to Zion. Your body is your body. But that slow strut he does to get back on D would not work under Thibs.
So yea, Thibs coaching Zion will be doomed to fail.
All that said, having Zion on your team >>>>> Thibs. Shit we'll throw Thibs in the trade package to make it happen.
