@Blue_London Apart from the early screwup, I think Tomori was our best player tonight.
I was liking Zouma until his moment of madness. he has improved a lot since the start of the season (we did say he is a confidence player)

Ajax looked like they were prepared for Hudson Odoi they were on to him fast.

One thing I thought of watching it was Kova would do nicely in their team

Chelsea. My thoughts on the club in 2019.

No more known as a sugar daddy club. Thanks to PSG and Man City. But just six months ago the main criticism was about the amount of players out on loan. I thought it was crazy.

But now, I look back at when Russian oil money took over...what nearly 15 years ago.... and yes, you could say they bought some trophies....but....Abramovich heavily invested in the academy.

Fast forward and you can now see the assets they have....quick math and they easily got nearly 600-700 milli in youth and breakthrough talent.

The transfer ban forced the issue and I don’t think Lamps gets the job in normal circumstances but this blessing in disguise could see a young English manager lead Chelsea to major accolades in the near future. I hope they stick with him simply because I’ve always respected him as a player.

Nobody could understand what they were doing loaning out all them youth players but now...now it all makes sense.

No longer a sugar daddy club. Trophies have been won and now it’s a functioning club that can buy big in the market AND rely on youth.

And just to add I remember the Russian oil takeover. The season before they got champions league and then the following year they beat Liverpool on the last day of the season to get CL for a second year and then in the summer, Abramovich took over. Rumours was that he was close to taking over Spurs...

This is a blueprint for rich niggas that wanna buy a PL club...overall he has probably spent about a billi (he only paid 140m for Chelsea, I think that’s crazy!) before him and Putin fell out...but the club can run itself now and it took 15 years for the academy investment to pay off.

Imma drop some thoughts on Klopp next time.

LMAO, I wish i could find your posts from the first few weeks. U let these Man Utd boys (mainly @dasmooth1 ) get to u, lol.
I'm letting you man rock for now because Lampard has you on fire. Got to salute the way he has integrated the youngsters and got them playing confidently all with your best player Kante mostly injured. Let's not forget the one team you didn't want it with this season though
