The only issue I have with cousins is him not getting back on Defense. Its so frustrating to watch. And im a huge fan and Cousins is a beast and he can be your best player but he cant be your leader.

I think the Pels do have a leadership issue because even if AD is the leader, you can tell no one is really holding him accountable the time he just walks back on defense.

And the issue is not just Cousins not getting back but its hard to build a winning culture when one of your best player show no effort getting back on D.
 
I think I've said it before that the Pels lack a leader. Someone that holds each other and themselves accountable. Right now they are just playing for fun. You need a mfer that will get in the other face when the effort isnt there.

aye man, i dont disagree with anything you wrote here

@caddo man, frank is probably gonna be traded. Depending on where your outlook is, he was essentially a projected 1st rounder that slid to the second, so if you trade him, and depending on to who, they'll probably think they are getting 1st round talent when evaluating what they are sending back.

I've only seen youtube highlights of him and hell, at one point, i was an austin rivers stan just off youtube clips and im not ashamed to admit that, but thats another story in itself.
 
How yall feel about Alvin Gentry? Do yall like hin or do you guys think yall need a coach that'll get in everyones and especially Cousins face?

Im sure until Cousins resigns the franchise is making it a point that no one can get in Cousins face and say shit to him but I dont think Alvin Gentry is that dude regardless and clearly its not working cause Cousins is still not getting back on D.

How would yall feel about Fizz?

man...i swear, my thoughts on him changes with the weather

on one hand, i've seen what his teams (offensively) can do, BUT, you still have to have the players to fit that system and to completely buy in. I think he is a great x's and o's guy, but the players, for whatever reason, struggle with being consistent with running the sets he draws up. Like i said earlier, i think it boils down to them getting impatient after a pass or two, then its iso ball time.

I would LOVE Fizz tbh. I think the squeezed all the juice outta that lemon in Memphis prior to getting fired. I also think this team would probably be better suited for Monty Williams and the type of offense he wanted to run. I know for sure he would have them with a similar setup to SA when they had duncan and robinson having them play more on the block to create cutting lanes and open shots on offense.

Unless a coach has accomplished something. He is not going to able to get into anyone's face. An ex-player that has rings can tell a mfer what to do. Coach Thibs is a hard core coach but his style works with young players. Older players wont take too much of that.

it works but at was expense? Noah hasnt been the same physically since he played for thibs.

Oh I am not advocating for Thibs in New Orleans. The authoritative style coach may work in Milwaukee or Minnesota. Not with the Pels or in places that has established vets either. The coach being the leader works when he has a inside guy that he can talk to.

The Pels need a vet on the team that has been on championship squad. Like Richard Jefferson 5 years ago. Tony Allen is a good start but maybe 2 years ago he would have been perfect. Do I know who this mystery player is ? No!

But they need that guy that can come in telling stories of winning it all and the grind to get there. Remind them that what you doing now aint cutting it.

How long the Magic been tanking for now?

Im not even talking about being a bad squad, but legit tanking. How they been actively tanking for 5+ years and still dont have a franchise player?

The only year we really "tanked" was 2013. Any other year we just fucking sucked.
