Real question to Pelican fans.
What do you think of the AD and Boogie combo so far? Are yall happy with it? Think it can be better? And do you guys want the Pelicans to give Boogie the max and try to build around them or let him sign elsewhere and go another way?
i like it tbh...when they are both clicking, its pretty good to watch, and with this production they have been getting from Jrue lately, i think they have a very nice core to build around.
My frustrations at times are with both of them when it comes to the inconsistency in their efforts on rebounding, in particular defensive rebounding. TOO many times, they are both just standing around not putting a body on someone and then they both look at each other like "i thought you had it"
I think that should....SHOULD improve b/c neither one of them, at the pro level have played with other players with the skillsets they both possess. I also think that they have a pretty bad bench. They are constantly being outscored by the oppositions bench.
probably my biggest frustration is when they seem to go off script and stop doing the shit that gives them big leads and Boogie resorts to iso ball. When they arent moving, the offense stagnates and allows the d to just pack the paint. But i've seen them go consecutive possessions with fluidity in ball movement and it gets them open looks from 3 and when the d cheats, they have practically wide open layups for everyone. There is no way Boogie should be averaging the amount of TOs he does. Second biggest one is when boogie is looking for the refs to bail him out, and doesnt get back on defense. Thats a killer.
The pelicans have been on the clock since AD was drafted. I think this window is the best one to get into the playoffs and try to maybe win a round.
