I don't think officiating played as big a role in this game

Perhaps the 20+ consecutive missed 3pt attempts did. Just a thought

Part of me thinks this was the best shot this current team had. We need an infusion of youth.

Paul ain’t getting younger
Harden is Harden
Role players getting older

Capela is the only young player we’ve got that’s actually good. I hope that Chinese cat been working on his 3s smh.
You think Chris should have played?

Btw how much clit getting?

Missing calls/no calls which led to momentum swinging plays for GS didn’t play a big role?
How many points you think that swung the game?

No one told Houston to keep shooting despite missing from 3

GS otoh at one point was fine trading 2's for 3's so they could manage the bleeding

GS also adjusted to the pnr basically eliminating capela altogether.

No production from Anderson or iso Joe.

But the refs are seriously gonna get the blame?

C'mon 5th

No call on Cook fouling Harden from 3, no call on Thompson grabbing Harden’s arm on the 3 point attempt, the numerous moving screens that went uncalled, The most blatant being Cook’s moving screen in the 3rd quarter. Gordon getting hacked on a particular drive and no call, the ref screwing Harden out of a 4 point play. Houston didn’t help themselves taking bad shots but the refs missing calls didn’t help either.

There were missed calls throughout the game on both sides though

That still doesn't negate the fact that GS hit shots while Houston missed shots. At one point, harden had 28 pts on 27 shots. Or the other way around.

Oh, and the 3rd quarter happened again which has been GS calling card all season

I'm mobile but what is the record when they win the third quarter?

Naw cp3 couldn’t even push off his leg. No way he could’ve played.

Idk what kinda contract capela will get. He’s a good young player who definitely benefits from the system but he’s gonna get paid at least $20 mil a year from somebody. Rockets been talking like they’ll match any offer but between him and Paul that luxury tax is gonna hurt.

I also think Lebron coming here is a pipe dream. They’d have to gut the whole team.

but can we just admit this era of basketball is trash?

No, because it's not. There has never been a point in time where the league was this talented all at once.

-There might not EVER be a player as physically gifted as LeBron. In his 15th season he is still the best player in the game and it's not close.
-KD is a 7ft guard with unlimited range and the epitome of efficiency,
-Anthony Davis is still adding to his impressive skill set,
-Kyrie Irving might be top 5 most skilled players with a basketball,
-Harden is just as unguardable as anybody has ever been
-Steph Curry has changed the game forever (for better or worse) but nobody can do it like him
-Russ for all his flaws is amazing
-Giannis is an anomaly
-Cp3 is still elite
-Klay is probably better than your favorite shooter
-Cousins is today's prototypical big man
Kawhi
Paul George
Embiid
Simmons
Donovan Mitchell
Lillard
Tatum
KAT
Porzingis
And the list goes on and on

Offenses and defenses are both more sophisticated than they used to be.
You have players that can literally guard all 5 positions.
Don't get me wrong there are a lot of things wrong with today's game, and we saw it last night, but as far as talent goes it's really not close.

Yeah there were missed calls on both sides, but what were the blatant obvious misses against the Warriors? And we both agree that missing shots played the biggest part in them losing.

Khris Middleton would be an allstar in the 90s

Rockets need a 3rd star and to adapt on offense to be able to beat the warriors. If Iggy played series woulda been over in 5-6

Valiant effort but you saw why there's separation between the 2 teams.Warriors made adjustments rockets didnt

rockets also went away from the pick n roll with capela in game 7(it was working draymond shut it down the other games) to jack 3's

They needed chris paul he woulda took advantage of that or killed them in mid range

harden ball iq aint high and d'antoni makes 0 adjustments that iso/3 jackin bullshit won't win a title

this was looking unstoppable in the 1st half......

this was looking unstoppable in the 1st half......

rockets panicked when the warriors took the lead and jacked 3 after 3 that's what they do but they were brickin like a mf

Same thing happened last year vs the spurs, the games they won they were on fire from 3 pop adjusted ran them off the line and contested all their drives and houston were clueless cuz they don't shoot mid range just lay ups,3's and fta's. Take away their bread n butter and they struggle because their offense isnt dynamic.

Warriors made several adjustments that worked

Thought the phrasing of this was interesting by the Rockets owner, earlier in the season he sounded very confident and committed to resigning Capela, now its "want to"
