Which is why Riley has never valued draft picks and only seen them as assets for trades. Ironic that our best player in franchise history was someone he didn't initially want lol
 
Orlando fucked up somewhere around the oladipo/ibaka/biyombo era

Also fucked up the tobias trade

Btw DJ augustin is one of my favorite non star players he holds sit down wherever he is whether it's starting or the bench

Nah if you have a good front office you can rebuild with picks either through the draft or flipping them for more assets like Boston and Houston

Phoenix was setup like that too a few seasons ago but their front office sucks and has made their rebuild much longer than it shouldve been

Orlando made a lot of questionable moves and were trying to to put together pieces that didnt really fit.....Which is why they have a new front office

Flipping players for picks is the only way. Drafting for good players only work in rare cases.

Houston top players are all free agents. Boston top players are free agents. The couple of drafted players will be good (Tatum, Brown) but without Kyrie, Harford, Morris, and Heyward. They are the 76ers talking about trust the process.

Orlando and Phoenix are horrible front offices. But just sitting on picks and drafting hoping they turn into something don't work. Collect those picks and then draft your supporting players. Hope for a superstar but plan to flip those picks and contracts for something great.

Houston traded for Harden and Paul using a combo of players and picks, Capela was drafted

Boston traded for Kyrie and Morris
