FC Twente - Dutch club that Steve Mclaren used to coach, played CL against Inter n Spurs back in the day with Preudhomme as coach - was basically bankrupt and are fighting relegation now, just signed Adam Maher n El Hamdaoui...Maher is a great talent that could have gone to Arsenal but went to PSV (and Cocu wasted him) El Hamdaoui used to be great in the eredivisie....played CL at Ajax with Suarez n shit.

Its cool fam… I think what American soccer fans dont understand at times is, football/soccer is generally very tribal in most countries, as teams represent your local town, community, ancestry, industry and family ties etc and with some teams even rivalry between religions (celtic/rangers)...
Its not like in some American sports where people wear jerseys to match their kicks (unless they are wearing jerseys that are not in same country as the teams they support) and fans dont generally switch teams because a player has left their team and gone to another team (like some lebron fans etc) so football/soccer fans can take offence at times…
Also, as much as fans dont like their teams owners at times, atleast they know that their team (lets say chelsea for example) isn’t gonna be upped and moved to another part of the country like Manchester and become Manchester Chelsea FC, as soccer/football really is a community based thing... Teams keep their identities and stay in the community, its........ just different to American sports (and i love and play basketball for the record)...
