ESPNFC sources report Tottenham is close to the signings of PSG rb Serge Aurier and Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth

Just days before the window closes, a major European star has potentially thrown his name into the transfer carousel. Bayern Munich'sThomas Muller, who was disappointed at having been dropped for Bayern's game at Werder Bremen, has hinted he may not be part of Bayern's plans going forward.

"I don't know exactly which qualities the coach wants to see," Muller told ARD. "But mine seem not to be 100 percent in demand."

The scorer of 10 World Cup goals is coming off his worst season at Bayern, and may be angling for a move, if indeed he is no longer in Carlo Ancelotti's first-team plans.

Leicester have tabled a £27 million offer for Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend, whichthe Mirror reports will lead to Arsenal sellingAlexis Sanchez to Manchester City.

The Chilean has just one year remaining on his contract, and Arsene Wenger has remained adamant that Sanchez will not be sold this summer.

But if the Foxes land Townsend, the Gunners could jump ahead of Roma to sign Algeria international Riyad Mahrez, who would become Sanchez's replacement at the Emirates.

While City are willing to wait until 2018 for Sanchez and land him on a free transfer, Arsenal might now be willing to let their talisman leave in a £50m deal.

It's been a very good day for Liverpool, whose hammering of Arsenal at Anfield could soon be followed by another positive development, according to the Telegraph.

Citing sources in France, the paper reports that the Merseysiders "have made an inquiry to sign Monaco's Thomas Lemar for a club-record fee of up to €60 million," with the move not tied to the future of Philippe Coutinho, who remains heavily linked with Barcelona.
