The thing with Ronnie is that hes obviously a great player that scores goals when it matters - and one might argue that should be all that matters - but regardless of last night he doesnt score a lot of beauties...Zlatan, Messi, Del Piero, Bergkamp, his current coach and a shitload of other players have scored more beautiful goals than him...

Hes basically a more consistant Inzaghi

I dont know the statistics - if they even exist - but back in de 90s/early 2gs most foreign prem fans started watching the prem due to Wenger's football.

Eventhough Man U was winning most of the silverware, most of us in Holland n parts pf Africa tuned in for Arsenal. We hated Fergie's man u and how he parked the bus before it was cool lol. Used to call them 'the scum' or scum united lol.

The pretty football may initially be good for ratings but if you're not winning that shit gets stale.

Nah it wasnt just that, I think it was the Sky marketing that was genius, all the camera angles etc that were never really around before, the invention of 'The Premier League' name/brand, the lights, music analysis etc it was amazing and new for the time...
