Manchester United may have just spent a whopping £75 million on a new striker, but it seems they are not done yet. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to leave at the end of his contract this summer and Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford still learning the ropes, it seems there may still be space for Juventus' Paulo Dybala.

The Daily Star report that the Argentine, who has been likened to Lionel Messi in terms of style, is on Jose Mourinho's shopping list and United hold an ace in the hole to get him. Javier Ribalta was appointed as their head scout in the summer and he previously worked with Dybala at Juventus... you see where this is going?

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's failure to cement his place could open up room for another No. 10 at the club and Dybala certainly ticks all the right boxes. But he would cost a pretty penny.

A cheaper option for United would be to snap up Brazilian wunderkind Malcomfrom Bordeaux.

The 20-year-old would cost around £33m,according to the Daily Mail, and the paper reports that the two clubs have started talks about a January deal which would see him immediately loaned back.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the winger, but when Jose Mourinho sets his sights on someone, he rarely loses.

It's a pretty well known fact that Alexis Sanchez won't be staying at Arsenal beyond this summer, so the Gunners have got to do something about a replacement. And the Daily Mirror claim they may only get £35m for their Chilean star now.

The rumour mill is going into overdrive about who could replace him, but it might be £40m PSG winger Julian Draxler. Though they did say yesterday that Leon Bailey of Leverkusen was a possibility too.

If you'd rather believe the Daily Star, then Mexico international Hirving "Chucky" Lozano will be making his way from PSV to London. But he'd cost £42m and Liverpool are also interested.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has refused to rule out a move for £53million Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

After initially refusing to talk about a player in a different team in his post-match press conference, Conte did eventually reveal his thoughts on the Chile international.

‘I don’t speak about players from other teams’ card,' he said.

‘I must be honest, it's not right to talk about a player of another team. Especially if you try to link this player with us.

'But Arturo is a fantastic player, I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together.

‘If we go to war, I’d always want him with me.’

Conte and Vidal won three Serie A titles together and the duo could be reunited.

Sam Allardyce on Everton's search for a striker in January and Olivier Giroud interest

Sam Allardyce has reiterated a new striker remains a priority for Everton next month as he looks to protect Dominic Calvert-Lewin from burning out.

The Boxing Day goalless draw at West Bromwich Albion means the Blues have managed 24 goals in 20 Premier League games, with only Burnley scoring fewer of those teams in the top half of the table.

With Everton again missing leading scorer Wayne Rooney through a virus, the team that started at the Hawthorns had just seven Premier League goals between them this season.

And Blues boss Allardyce admitted: “Up front is definitely an area we need to improve in January, a quality front man if there's one available.

“Dominic has done fantastic this year but has only scored three. Gylfi is on the pitch but he's only scored four.

“Wayne wasn't here today so we didn't have a lot of goal threat in terms of players who actually have a goal record. So keeping a clean sheet is very important for us.”

And Allardyce admits such a heavy workload is beginning to affect the 20-year-old.

“There is a risk of burnout,” said the Blues boss. “We have to be careful with what we do with him.

“I think he is suffering from a bit of fatigue. He is one of our most high energy players, if not our most high energy, but a lot of it is getting wasted a little bit at the moment.

“He is looking like he needs a bit of a rest but I don't have too many options to rest him, unfortunately.”

While Everton are scouring the market for attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window, Allardyce doesn't believe interest in Arsenal's Olivier Giroud will be rekindled.

“I wouldn't have thought so as he refused to come last time,” he said.

“As far as I know he doesn't want to move north of Watford, well his wife doesn't want to anyway. It's very important to the wives, believe you me. Normally they are the bosses.”

Nearly a decade ago, Arsene Wenger ranked the Paris region as the second-best talent pool in soccer after Sao Paulo in Brazil. But by now, the French capital surely ranks top.

Here are just a few of today's players raised in Greater Paris: Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, N'Golo Kante, Kingsley Coman, Blaise Matuidi and Kylian Mbappe, plus three other regular Paris Saint-Germain starters, the Algerian internationals Riyad Mahrez and Yacine Brahimi, and various Senegalese and Moroccan internationals who will play at the coming World Cup. In fact, the Ile-de-France (as Greater Paris is known) probably produces more talent than Asia, Africa and North America combined. Why?
