I'm thinking they spent the last couple years on the cutting room floor making it as trash as possible just to finally do away with anything fox. So people dont hang on to trying to attach it to mcu.

Disney/Marvel got the movie just last year when the sale was final.
All the cuts and postponements was Fox. I remember when the thread was made for the movie back on the IC. That was 2016.
