Even if he started a good franchise, and thats a big IF, it quickly goes to shit.

If I cared about any IP at all I wouldnt want dude near it and if he was he would have as little input as possible

The animated joints were great. No argument there. All the other Spiderman Live action joints were mostly handled by Marvel folks creatively.

etc.
