I know they just got attacked but damn have some pride!! Niggas killed yall main man & couldn’t get more than 3 votes!!
The only 3 that voted for him were probably those close to him. Thinking about it realistically, a lot of people may not have even known him that well. Plus he was killed because of some shit he did in the past. They not about to risk the whole town or their family because somebody had a personal vendetta against one dude in the camp.

the town aint know that. They just know some randos showed up and brutally killed one of their own

The town just got attacked, who knows how many people died or severely hurt, going on a vendetta trip not in their best interest at the moment.

Those people might not be battle tested, living in a closed off community has made them soft

if you aint battle tested maybe you should shut the fuck up when people talkin bout goin into battle 😅

Jokes aside tho.. there were some good points made about needing to repair the walls/defenses and all that. And sending all your best people out aint the smartest move either. But that turn the other cheek shit can get the fuck outa here

Maybe not the specifics, but they know it was a group of about 6. Why you going after a group of humans when you just got mollywhopped by hoards of infected. Which is the greater threat at this point?

Introducing the scars this soon I see.

The town meeting makes no sense and it was not in the game. Elle was going to do what she wanted regardless. I like the game's approach better, because it does not make sense for the town to have any say over what people do. No one is bound to just stay in the town as Joel and Elle were only let in, because of Tommy. No one who has attacked the town has succeeded so worrying about people attacking makes no sense and they need to rebuild the wall instead of worrying about who killed Joel. The infected attacking is different and more of a threat than some humans.

Anyway Elle knows who they are already in the show, which is a weird decision by the writers. Her whole pursuit was revenge before she found out why they killed Joel. Her having that knowledge and still wanting to go while putting others in danger makes her character garbage and she is with holding that info from the town knowing the attack was about Joel only and the rest of the town is not targeted. Her knowing that Abby is connected to the fire flies changes her motivation.

I think the addition of the town meeting and vote is a direct result of them adding the swarming of the town. Dina was with Joel in the show when he was ambushed and also encountered the swarm chasing Abby.

It would only be natural for them to blame Abby and the others for both events in such a scenario. For all they know, directing the swarm towards town could have been intentional. Only natural for others to want their get back as well b/c although Joel was the driving force he wasn't the only casualty of their actions in this iteration.

I get your point but going on a suicide mission when you do not know what is waiting for you is a bad decision. There is more danger in the world, which is why humans gathered together to live in towns like before. The WLFs are a whole military group, which are dangerous to pursue. Elle was running on raw emotion when she went after them and did not ask anyone else to go with her. Elle was out there surviving with Joe while most of the town as stated was living a soft life. people leaving after that attack is a bad move since if you think humans had something to do with it who is to say that they are not just waiting to attack themselves?

Yeah it seems to me like they’re trying to play up Jackson in the show. Which makes sense in a show format because you can’t have a whole show of Ellie stealth killing a bunch of infected and WLF. The game only really had 3 fleshed out characters (Ellie, Dina, and Abby), everybody else was support for them. You need more characters with better development in a show, so I get adding the attack on Jackson and the aftermath.

Everything else I agree with.

Hope watching Abby doesn’t make me too upset

Loved her in the game and idk if girlie is brolic enough for me
That was part of the draw for me. Ellie having to overcome that physical challenge. Show Ellie beating the brakes off of show Abby no problem, lol. They focusing on Ellie’s training to foreshadow them having to fight and I’m thinking she good as is, lol.

Ellie on her best day can’t fuck with Abs so if it’s even close in the show I would be tight lol
