This episode was the first misstep to me. I get that they wanted to give all the ā€œbig spectacleā€ dummies what they wanted with the infected attack… I didn’t mind that. It was pretty cool. But there was waaayyyy too much talking in the Abby/Joel scene.

They took away all the mystery of the who and why about Abby too early. That scene worked better in the game because it was abrupt and shocking. They dragged it out for no reason (that I can see yet).

I’m sure it worked for show watchers only but that was one scene they should’ve went 1:1 from the game. It was perfect the way it was . Zero fat. Made you sufficiently hate Abby, and sent you/Ellie with the sense of resolve you need for basically a suicide mission.

They tried to humanize/empathize Abby too soon.

I didn't think it would since the tv show removed its range attack for some reason
I read somewhere that they are looking to bring the spores in somehow this season. I thought maybe this would be a good way to introduce them.

They used the vines in place of the spores since it could be depicted better on screen.

I agree with this part. I fucking hated her in the game afterwards. Not sure the tv show people get that from the show

I'm cool with Joel knowing why that was happening to him. In the game we knew nothing about those people until hours into the game when we play as Abby. In the show they going back and forth between the two groups so that surprise wasn't needed

I'm curious about whatever they injected Dina with because isn't she supposed to be pregnant?

I wonder if that just doesn't happen in the show
