I'm not a NaS fan or a Tupac fan (I like Jay and BIG more) but I still consider them goats![]()
I'ma push back slightly
Drake would've definitely gotten signed. I just don't think it would've been as a rapper or rather it wouldn't have been the rapper that we know today
Comeback season is one of my favorite mixtapes. I think his trajectory would've been that kind of rapper vs the 6 God Boogeyman
The funny thing about the whole top 5 thing is people who refuse to change it. Like some people feel married to it and think it's permanent. My favorite rapper has changed as I got older and I always look at it kinda funny if somebody has had the same favorite rappers as they did when they were like 15 and now theyre 40.
Why tho

@FreemanLmao this is insane. Nobody is attacking anyone and nobody claimed anyone is being attacked.
I literally said "I can't do anything about you not liking drake and don't really care to" and that goat talk in music isn't an objective conversation because we're all fans of people we consider to be the goat. That includes me saying drake is the goat. It just doesn't skew towards being a completely objective conversation.
How you flipped into all this extra shit is legitimately insane. Theres no reasoning with some of you.
Are you okay?@Freeman
Fam I just be fucking with you. The only time I ever see you get rattled is when we shitting on drakes…
See how you get in your feelings about dude…Are you okay?
How you run in the thread kicking and screaming, making shit up then... nvm. You good where you was at. Imma just leave you there.
My fault.
I hate that the term gets used so flippantlyOnce niggas start adding an “s” to the word GOAT, shit gets tricky to me.
It’s singular. It’s absolute.

What’s back in the day?Yeah Drake definitely would've gotten signed back in the day. Especially when you see some of the artist that used to get a push.
Again. Immediately downplaying and moving the goalposts because you dislike an artist.

Im not trying to change yall minds about how you feel about drake.
I simply said yes FANS are going to be the core group of people that consider an artist the goat. And if you dislike an artist or their music you most likely won't consider them the goat.
Why are you guys flipping out?

“I don’t hate this dude for no reason. You just proved my point lol. Those guys aren't YOUR goats. I bet you're a fan of the ones you do consider to be the goats in those fields tho.
How you feel about the qualifications of someone who says drake is the goat is irrelevant lol. Just goes to further my point that you will find a way to downplay the person or thing you dislike.
Cognitive dissonance a mf tho.

Yeah the era he was discoveredWhat’s back in the day?
No way he would’ve landed a Hype Williams video.
No way he would’ve been signed in any part of the 90’s.
So what era are yall speaking on?
The era in which he was discovered?
He’s had a twenty year career.
Yeah and his better than Fab in almost every category. Drake would've been okay in the late 90s depending on where he landed. Like Nelly, Mase, etc had successYeah the era he was discovered
He definitely had a pocket he could've dominated
Think when Fabolous was doing the lady themed records.
Wayne is on record telling him to stick to that kinda rap when they first started dealing with each other. Of course it expanded but if there was someone who could've gotten a hype Williams directed video, it would've been him

He never would’ve been a boss battle in any of the def jam games.Yeah and his better than Fab in almost every category. Drake would've been okay in the late 90s depending on where he landed. Like Nelly, Mase, etc had success
Fat Joe is a boss battle in those games. Your bar is far too low for Drake to not hop over that bitchHe never would’ve been a boss battle in any of the def jam games.
Even Icon.
