The latest lawsuit updates are so absurd. I'm a little shocked by the lack of media coverage from "hip-hop" outlets. We need better gatekeepers.
 
I was scrolling and saw the title change thinking to myself surely this is a mod playing games. Surely this fuck nigga Drake isn't taking that wack ass Not Like Us diss/song/beef this far.

Man had the most successful rap tour ever before the beef. He wasn't on Lupe status at all. Now his fans/stans are just as nuts as Lupe fans though

He's trying to get UMG to prove that they knowingly promoted a song with the pedo claims against him. He's trying to get them to prove his claims in Family Matters like the domestic abuse and Kendrick not being the real dad weren't true. UMG said the rap beef was mutual and lyrics were rhetorical hyperbole and that Drake also made accusations about Kendrick in the songs like Family Matters in lawsuit. He's trying to prove that UMG lied

Basically Drake is using his own claims from Family Matters as a tool in the legal discovery process to expose what he believes is UMG's hypocrisy. He's trying to get them to admit that they prioritized the profit from Not Like Us over protecting him from the pedo claims

Though that also means that Drake was making shit up during the beef

If it comes out through discovery that UMG helped sweep Kendrick's domestic abuse situations under the rug, does that change anything?
