Why would he go sit with ak when ak bff Joe budden is his op? And yall just gonna say "why did he go sit with ak?"

Ak is never getting that interview btw. Drake can clearly read between the lines that ak and Joe budden are running a play and baiting views. He's gonna keep ak at a distance.
Ducking these journalist not helping him it's making things worse

This lowkey shows current pitiful state of hiphop. The thought of signing and believing in someone that hasnt already made their own large following is seen as a joke

Crazy part is, Ilovemakonnen had is own following in ATL before Drake, and Tuesday was his big hit that Drake jumped on & took. So I dont count that as putting on, especially after how Drake fucked up the mans music career after he signed to him.
Drake gives everyone of those people he does features with an equal split. He's never "taken" a record from anyone. Makonnen still eating off that record till this day. He fucked up his own career being twitter fingers.

Only in the eyes of niggas that never fucked with him anyway. Doing an interview with those journalists doesn't benefit drakes career or legacy it benefits theirs. The roles have reversed and thats why most of these journalists mad.

Drake and Kendrick are totally different artists...

I know Drake is known for doing tons of features and will often take abit of the artists style and hop on a current trend but in doing so he does technically boost their careers...

Like he came over here to London and collab'd with a few artists and started dressing and talking like he was from Brixton for while, which no doubt made a difference to guys like Skepta who he worked with...

Is that putting on??? Kind of...

Thing is Drake is a popstar with fanatical fans like The Barbz and The Beehive, so his co-sign really can boost an artists profile... Whereas Kendrick isnt really a popstar, his features and co-signs prolly wont move an already established or partially established artists career that much...

This. Drake is a hit maker. So if some artist out there has a little buzz or is coming with something that has potential, it makes sense for Drake to jump on it and give it a boost. It's mutually beneficial. Drake gets his name attached to another hit and the artist gets some shine he/she might not have otherwise.

Kendrick is more of a pure artist. He has a maintained image and an established vision for his music. It wouldn't really make sense for him to jump on tracks with a bunch of random artists.
