I'll wait for y'all to let me know whether I should bother or not. Doesn't look like anything I'd care for off first look tho.

I don't think this shit is gonna be any good. It looks stupid.

The pitch meeting went like this:

"What if a Weeknd song was TV show?"

"That could be a good story. Drugs, sex, predatory dysfunctional relationships..."

"Yes! Yes! Exactly."

"Isn't that like Europhia though?"

"But instead of kids, it's adults, in a pop star cult."

"Sounds stupid, but as long as Abel is in it, we'll greenlight."

This isn't a good look for my guy Abel.

I admire the ambition but lol, I don't wanna see this guy's face and his real voice.

He has this 80s pop star appeal as in you don't see him or hear from him until an album drops.

Now we literally get After Hours in narrative form? Nah, I'm out.

I had to cut the trailer because it just felt cheesy and self indulgent.

Actors wanna be pop stars. Pop stars wanna be actors.
 
Rolling Stone puts out a hit piece from the perspective of the old director without one named source in the entire piece. The actress then comes out and refutes the whole thing.

Abel wanted the show he created to be about him and not the girl. Big whoop, much adieu about nothing. And slightly condescending.
