I've been saying it for the longest: The Dems and GOP are really no different. What the Democrats champion today is what the Republicans will champion tomorrow and vice versa. I've spoken on this specific clip in the past as well as how Democrats sought to restrict what you could buy with food stamps among other things.

While I agree in some instances, republicans just take the shit to another level. Democrat tariff policy and Trump tariff policy is not the same. Targeted tariffs on products that are also produced in the US protect US businesses. Across the board tariffs just raise the prices on everything. Which is why now Trump is having to roll them back.

This is a false equivalency. Tariffs have always been used, but they were surgical and not blanket like Trump.

I mean the mf applied a 10% tariff to Canada because they ran a commercial quoting Reagan.

The video he posted isn’t even close to that.
