My middle child just experienced what I've been saying for years.
The midwest and east coast has no idea what real Mexican food is.
She's in Vermont, her roommate's moms took them to a "nice" Mexican restaurant. She told me nothing they made tasted nearly as good as even the hood spots in Vegas. She had what they presented to her as steak tacos, she was expecting it to be like carne asada and said that shit was disrespectful to her taste buds.
