Word I’ve seen it first hand in some of the jobs I’ve had. Some of the most miserable people you’ll ever meet. Will flip out at the most meaningless shit cause that small of shit is that meaningful to them. When you drive into a sub division of rich homes, each home should be an expression of that individuals happiness and wealth, and instead home owner associations nit pick everyone to be the same. To be bland, to be expressionless, express yourself inside your home, and not where people can see.The rich are some of the poorest people you'll ever meet.
Advertisement, entertainment, media has cultivated this lust for material things for years social media of course has exacerbated it people sacrifice eveything real and grounding for the illusionsThere is an absolute irony in social media connecting more people than ever, and in that same vain, social media promotes looking out for self and not trusting others. What is with humanities desire or even maybe it’s the American ideal that is spreading. The desire to be powerful enough to fuck off on others.
Member when the lifestyle of the rich and famous first started. That much wealth was a pipe dream, it was nice to look at but no one really felt like there was a direct path way to it so people felt like they needed others, so people cared about others to an extent.
Now that there are more direct ways to wealth, it’s like a death race to gain enough wealth to be in a position to hold it over the head of others. Who wants to have everything so they can have nothing. It’s like retired people say, Friday is cool till every day is Friday.
Look at how unhappy the vast majority of these celebrities and moguls become. Money isolates them to dealing with ambitious self absorb individuals with fake smiles and families that see them as banks. Whole world on their shoulders and even their own kids turn on them.
To where their only joy in life is the ability to show people that have less than them, that they have more. How empty is that existence?
