White flight, itself, didn't ruin the city...the freeways that were built, right thru entire neighborhoods, to connect the suburbs to the city is where the most severe damage began. Then, the very deliberate, slashing of budgets/chipping away at city services after white flight, and the closing of several industries in the late 80s-mid 90s, hurt the city. Detroit (the state of Michigan) is only one of several cities that is part of the Rust Belt.

The Detroit y'all heard about 10+ years ago when you could buy bandos to rehab for $1 is gone...the city is being rebuilt. Not just downtown/midtown either...whole neighborhoods are being rebuilt and LOTS of thriving Black-owned small businesses all over.

The wealthy know as soon as women have the ability to educate themselves, birth rate drop like a mf. Population is on a crash course to collapse because not enough women are having babies to replace the workforce. Now abortion rights are being revoked.
