I don't think it's the fact it was an observation. It's the fact you emphasized you keep forgetting exactly how much young ass is at homecoming. Indirectly implying, it's something you enjoy. And while yes technically they are adults, you are in a 'position of power' being their teacher and society doesn't expect to hear or want to hear how you keep forgetting how much young ass there is when going to homecoming.

That getting older means when you go to Homecoming, you’re supposed to be seeing your people from when YOU went, but you also forget there a whole new generation of younger ADULT college students on campus that will be floating around WITH all the alumni on campus that day.
