The flow of their conversation so far is that of hanging out in a basement, while smoking weed, and talking about the first thing that comes to mind. 😂 typical Joe Rogan flow but this is why it’s so easily consumed. No complexity, just straight talk.

There’s already ppl here who don’t like Rogan for many reasons, one of them being his talk on Black people, and that’s fair…

But, let’s contextualize the conversation, because without that, they see what you said and hold it against him.

The road of conversation was natural vs man-made. They talked about medicinal herbs vs the pharmaceutical industry…which led to how to government controls what Americans are allow to have and not have, or what we have been brainwashed into having.

Joe said that flavored vapes are banned in CA.

Katt followed up with “that is fine, but it hurt Black people as they counted menthol as a flavor, and hurt newports”

Then Joe asked why Black ppl why they like menthol so much.

Katt did acknowledge immediately that their conversation will be seen as racist and it’s gonna get him (Katt) cancelled… (jokingly)

The conversation switched..it did seem like Katt was trying to change the subject but Katt brought the topic back around as so to answer the question…

Just putting context to the convo.

btw Katt answered it.. which was “we value strength in product” potency, he talked about malt liquor vs liquor..and concentrated products.

weird answer to which Joe said “that makes sense” 😂

Again, basement weed talk.

If this is his 1st episode since landing the deal l, then probably.

I'm still reluctantly subscribed to his channel cuz I like left field conversations about the wonders of the world that typically happen on his pod. This is the 1st episode uploaded straight to his YT channel in years.

Katt was the one who brought it up lol he said the menthol ban hurt black people….not sure how else he could have responded

This is why context matters…people are already running w this as if Joe is racist but this guy who posted this conveniently left out the few seconds prior to Joes question…which was following what Katt said about menthols being banned and it hurting Black people…

Regardless of your view of Joe, you should care about context and facts.

I'm not even tripping off the menthol question or answer or topic

I'm talking specifically about katt being COMPELLED to say "neither of us are racist" to a man whos core audience is the alt right, to a man who went viral for a Planet of the Apes comment, etc

Let Kevin Hart or one of Katt other targets say something like that to a suspected racist...

Context matters...but if you're gonna use that argument then you also have to acknowledge that the context of Katt Williams being who he is and presenting himself as very much pro Black not only asking why he wasn't invited on then proceeding to go on and laugh it up with somebody whose has not only admittedly made racist jokes about Black people but also platforms others who does makes for not such a good look.
 
Joe says some wild stuff and drastically pushes the boundaries. He’s a standup comedian and their mindset in walking the line on jokes will always be there.

I’d like to say he’s not racist but what doesn’t help favor that is the n-word shit he got himself into. While I don’t think he said it because he is racist it isn’t something I can at the same time defend. Regardless of the context of his discussions where he (for no reason) used that word, there’s no excuse for it. He’s made his bed and has to lie in it and deal w the consequences of how he’s viewed now.

So I don’t blame anyone for that view and there’s nothing that can be said by anyone to change that.

Katt is openly against racism in Hollywood and the feminization of Black men (dressing as women) and has warned other Black men in Hollywood of this. He’s very pro-Black and isn’t blind to these things that are racist. He doesn’t seem to like to play w that and play hypocritical.

Maybe Katt doesn’t know this about Joe? Maybe he does and doesn’t see it the way some do.

Thing is man it’s a lot of stupid layers to this. Folks think Hollywood is part of the Illuminati so the gay rumors are right behind it. People been running with since Tyler Perry days.
