So running around killing a bunch of vietcong constitutes as "great" storytelling? Those scenes were shallow af, and the gore served no purpose other than to wow people on gore alone. It didn't even manage to highlight the horrors and pointlessness of the conflict. That shit was far great.
The characters besides, the main character were shallow as a puddle too, there was no depth to them for the audience to actually care about

As an asexual, how do you deal with this internallycuz it's the oldest, most natural out there n humanity still can't handle the consequences.
Why is sex so powerful?
I just tackled the nam part of the movie, so I'll cover the heist part of the movie.explain why dead presidents is horrible
y don't ppl just call bm/bd's exes? i hate it when ppl use that term 4 big kids, it's a misnomer.
That still doesn't change any of the flaws I pointed out. Just because a film is about sad/horrid things doesn't make it good. There's more to movies than that.It was less about the war itself and more about the aftermath. It was about putting your life on the line for a country you thought you were a part of and coming back with pennies and no respect. Coming back and seeing your friend you were in combat with and seeing him strung out on drugs he used to cope with the bullshit of the war and dying from aids he caught while fucking the hookers over there again to take his mind off murder. Coming back to the woman you love being a complete different person and not being loyal to you. Coming back with PTSD and sleepless nights and the list goes on.

Again you and goldie are focused on the story, not how it was told, which is equally or even more important than the story itself in film. I've seen plenty of war movies that did a much better job of telling the story of a soldier's experiences. Some do it so well that you become immersed in the locations and feel as if you're there, I can't say that about DP. It's just not a well told story.bruh, it showed how the war turned a humble kid into a man in like 2-3 years....it told the story of a black war vet who came home a hero yet still had to hustle like a criminal to make ends meet...
it told a story of humility on several levels.....how pride can be destructive.....
and it didn't have a happy ending, because the tragic tone prevented it..
that shit was marvelous bruh.....
watch again in a few years....
I hear u on that but that still doesn't explain the vague usage of the term.
if the kid is 10yrs old, how cn they still be called a babydaddy?
n the term is used regardless of whether the bd/bm r together or not. that's muddled af.
is someone still a babymother/babyfather when whatever kid they share has grown n had their own kids?
