i mean you could try Metairie, Kenner or somewhere on the West Bank which is RIGHT by downtown NOLA. Look up Gretna or Algiers. You will still have to drive in, but it might not be that bad and if you lookin just for somewhere to lay your head at then im sure you might find something reasonable
