My son won second place in the City wrestling meet over the weekend. It was the biggest tournament of the year and he won all his matches except the last one. He made it to the third period and got pinned. He said he got tired.

On one hand I was happy because he did good in all his matches up until that one. And on the other hand I was mad because it looked like he just quit to me. But they were rollin good until that third period and it looked like he just Quit. I think he was frustrated because the kid he wrestled was good too and worked his bridge great every time my son almost has him pinned. But my son was making mistakes and could have won the match. He wasn't using the correct form running his half and kept getting countered. Wasn't using the correct leverage. Overall he did good tho.

Started last year. They start at 5 years old tho. I coach his football team and he is real physical so I asked did he wanna go watch high school wrestling. Took him to a meet and he said he wanted to do it so I found a program not far from where we live. He loves it man. But he needs to be more disciplined and wrestle smarter. He's still young and i know it takes time. He's just dumb strong and uses that to his advantage.

I know you said you wrestled in college. Get on that bruh. You wasting Du Jr. Genetic potential.

Yeah. I wrestled two year in grade school. But we moved and there weren't any programs close by so I didn't start again until junior year of high school. I was good because I was strong from lifting so much during football season. I won a lot of matches but missed state my junior year. I was t4aining hard off season but then I dislocated my ring finger on my right hand right before the season started and just said forget it. I was salty about that.
