Ok. So Westeros is like Great Britain in medieval times. There are 7 Noble Houses each ruling 7 different regions. Each region has a different geographical landscape and the Houses which are families and their retainers represent each region. People born in a House get to carry the name unless they are a bastard then they get a regional name. Like if you was a bastard from up North you last name would be Snow and etc.

The Starks who are the most popular to fans run the North which is biggest landwise but low population. They the good guys ya know all bout honor do the right thing etc etc they sound Scottish or Irish or something. Sigil is Direwolf a big ass wolf only in the North. Their words or motto is Winter is Coming

The Lannisters are from the West a mining region known for gold. Very rich the oldest daughter Cersei is married to the King and she evil af. Her twin is possibly the best living Knight in the kingdom they are twins and they fuck each other. He is a kingsguard which is honorable but you cant get married and have kids and build a legacy a glorified bodyguard. They have a younger brither who is a dwarf and killed his mom when he was born so everybody dislikes him except his brother and he is smarter and much nicer than other Lannisters. Their father the head of the House is the best Lannister even tho he dont like his kids that much and thinks they are stupid. Puts the House first and ruthless. Sigil is a Gold Lion on a red flag. Their words are Hear Me Roar and a Lannister pays his debts. Money and power.

House Baretheon of the Stormlands. King Robert of Westeros is from this House he won the throne in a rebellion and he was chosen because the Targareyns are his cousins so he was related. He is a drunk and fuck mad hos got like 16 Bastards probably claim like one or two. Excellent warrior tho and got a Warhammer nobody can lift. Dint really care about being King he just wanted his fiancee back but she dead and he blames the Targareyns for it. He has two brothers one has no humor does not joke but a very good soldier and ok commander, his other brother is gay but well loved and popular not a warrior frfr. Words are Ours is the Fury because they be whooping ass most if the time. Sigil is a crowned black stag on a yellow flag.

House Targareyn. They were the house that brought the 7 kingdoms into one empire 300 years before the series. They from Valyria another continent but its destroyed now. Valryians had the ability to control dragons and ride them. Used to be a very big empire. They really pale got purple eyes and shit. Targaryens marry siblings which is what Valaryians did to keep blood lines pure. But incest over generations can lead to some crazy ass kids. So like half the Targs are crazy and like fire and shit. They ruled westeros for 300 years Barethoens are their cousins. They lost the throne after King Robert Baratheon rebelled. He rebelled because he was going to marry a Stark girl their parents were cool. But the Targareyn Prince kidnapped her and he started a war. The king at the time was mad crazy and weak so not everybody supported them but they still had the numbers. Prince Aegon didnt fight until almost the end of the war he was the most popular and well loved honorable and all that. But when him and Robert fought his Warhammer cracked the Prince breastplate and knocked the rubies off it. After that it was all downhill and the King Targ was killed. His daughter and other son fled the country and they the only ones left.


Nights Watch is not affiliated with any House they guard a big ass ice wall in the North and they only have to listen to the king. They fight wildlings and keep them from raiding. Cant get married cant get no pussy. They were made to defend the realm. But now its just a place where convicts go or banished folks.


Its more houses and shit but this is backdrop of season one
