Another plot point brought about by Homelander's son: it's earlier established that all these Supes became that way because their parents or guardians injected them with this Compound V as infants right? And then some were injected as adults which is how the Super terrorists (and The Female) were created right?
We know that Homelander's son is a Supe as well. What we don't know is if the kid was also injected with compound V or if his powers are just a result of being spawn of another Supe or if it's a combination of the two. If it's the second option then that opens doors to things like breeding. Imagine them opening Supe-based harems or even Super-sperm banks. That would also be a way for them to minimize the use of V.
It also adds a layer to Vought's decision to hide Mrs. Butcher and the kid. Doing surveillance to see if a natural-born Supe is stronger than a created one. Then try to raise him to be Homelander's replacementor simply something that could check Homelander if need be.
