In FX’s The Beauty, when international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways, FBI Agents “Cooper Madsen” (Evan Peters) and “Jordan Bennett” (Rebecca Hall) uncover a conspiracy that threatens the future of humanity. The investigation leads them directly into the crosshairs of “The Corporation” (Ashton Kutcher), who will stop at nothing to protect his trillion-dollar empire.

Co-created, written and exec produced by Murphy and Matt Hodgson, The Beauty is based on the comic books by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Production on the 11-episode first season is slated to begin this fall, likely in November. Per usual for a Ryan Murphy project, no official details about the premise and the characters are provided.

The 2016 graphic novel The Beauty is about an STD that makes those affected beautiful. But the disease, dubbed “the Beauty,” eventually kills its hosts as part of a suspected sinister government plot. The main characters in the comics are detectives Drew Foster and Kara Vaughn, partners on beauty crime cases who have to find their way past corrupt politicians, vengeful federal agents, and a terrifying mercenary out to collect the price on their heads.

This show is dope and slept on and is exactly where I think modern medicine may go to into the future. Love futuristic content or shows that gives us a peak of what the world might be like in the future even after we’re gone.

Just caught up. Yeah this is a dope ass show. Part sci-fi, part horror. The concept of a society obsessed with looks isn’t novel, but the way they fuse that concept with the sci-fi and horror of the story is.

I didn’t really like the way the season ended, not because it was bad, it just seemed abrupt. Can’t wait for season 2 just to see where they take it. Hopefully they can keep the sci-fi mystery of the show going.

This flew under my radar, mostly because I don't care about model/beauty related stuff, but if it's sci-fi/horror, I'll check it out.
Yeah this shit is the furthest thing from model/beauty shit. It’s really about a billionaire megalomaniac flipping the bird at all scientific testing to get his product out, side effects be damned. But the way the science works is a mystery revealed as the show progresses.

Cool, I'll check it out tonight.

Imagine my shock when it's revealed that Byron in the past is played by Vincent D'onofrio lol. The new chick playing Jordan is a beautiful woman. The Assassin is such a hilarious character

Just finished this season. Would be unfortunate if this didn't get renewed with that cliffhanger at the end. I thought this was a limited series so the way the last episode was playing out, I was like there's no time for them to wrap this story up lol. Show was cool overall, probably wouldn't make my top 10 for the year. There were a few episodes that deviated from the main story/plotline. I guess they wanted to reinforce how adolescents are targeted from young about what society prioritizes and what people are willing to do to get their desired look
