PRAISE: There's a great character dynamic set up in this story about a time-traveling fighter pilot named Adam Reed who teams up with his 12-year-old self for a mission to save the future.
Part of the great dynamic is in the casting of Walker Scobell as Young Adam
He's able to channel a lot of Ryan Reynolds mannerisms and quick delivery of quips.
There's a lot of fun to be had in this time jumping story and there's a lot of the basic time traveling cliches included with its own unique twists and turns.
The cast does well including Mark Ruffalo; Jennifer Garner; and Zoe Saldaña
A lot of good raw emotion is displayed
This reminded me of those fun 80s Disney movies.
PROBLEMS: There's some cheesiness to the movie. I wasn't completely consumed by the movie and I felt a bit distracted during the films last 30 minutes. The CGI was so bad for a character I couldn't tell if it was a different character or the doppelganger of another character
One character was extremely one note for the entire movie.
How the hell is every new Netflix movie the highest ever streamed? Lol. I know they’re not saying this is the highest, but every movie released with a big name attached becomes the best ever something on Netflix.
Enjoyable and entertaining film that I feel everyone from the main cast did a good job in except whoever that was that played that Sorian chick. Some heartfelt moments that pull at your heartstring.
