The ABW Church Thread

Wildest shit ever was when the men's ministry went on a church retreat.

That shit was pure sitcom comedy movie material.... One of the funniest weekends of my life by a long shot.... And I was sober... Like that shit was pure comedy

I had a similar experience.

I'll be honest, it was kinda weird hanging around with a bunch of dudes for a weekend and everyone was sober the whole time. lol

That’s why I like my church. Pastor say give or don’t give, his church is going to be fine because he relies on God to provide. God will place it on someone’s heart to give if they see fit.

The offering prayer he quotes 2 Corinthians 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

He always talk junk about other churches that be doing fish fry’s and car washes to raise money, lol. He like I’m not about to put y’all on the front lines when people should be giving based on his preaching and their relationship with God.

That’s how it “should” be, rather if you can only give $20 or $200 there shouldn’t be an expectation on the amount. Especially nowadays where pricing on everything is up, most probably don’t have that extra to give to be honest and should never be put on blast or judged for it, that’s what keeps a lot of people out of churches.

That's messed up. Why didn't you train someone else in how to do it? No one else was interested?

I'm part of the A/V team at my church.

I was training a few of the male teenagers but most of them didn’t care and only wanted to be in the media room so they didn’t have to be in the service. They also weren’t that reliable

This is usually the biggest hurdle. My church is a small church, so there aren't many people are available to learn, or even attend on a regular basis to train.

Understandable. At my church, everyone even the young kids seem to want to contribute, but honestly the youths that are most committed are the ones in their mid 20s. Well, I pray that you find your way back. It's understandable for you not wanting to be there and feeling like you're being exploited.

Bruh the funniest shit I ever saw in my life was when this 90 year old Deacon pulled out his knife cuz another Deacon sat in his chair at the buffet. Man I was crying....

When one of them took the wrong exit on the highway.n we was in the other car trying to get their attention....

It was so much funny stuff happening

Great morning God is the greatest

“GRATITUDE “

gratitude defines your destination.

when you are filled with gratitude, no matter your circumstance or situation, you will always elevate . Elevating through the storm is not a good feeling because the storm is on an act of resistant to hold you back from your destiny, but understand resistance is building your spiritual stamina.
It's building your confidence in who you are.

It's building your constant will power to trample opposition and when you are going in the opposite direction of opposition, you are going in the place of tranquility, a place of peace, a place of surrendering to God where there is joy and victory

Father God, we thank you for allowing us to come into your space to run to you our strong tower, knowing that we are covered and safe

We don't take this for granted and we thank you !

We thank you for another opportunity of life.
We thank you for having a roof over our head
We thank you for putting air our lungs.
We thank you for allowing us to wake up knowing that the unseen battle is where the spirit realm is on constant attack.
Thank you for your heavenly protection
Thank you for calling us by our name.
Thank you for being El Shadai.
Thank you for being Jehovah Shalom.
Thank you for being Lord of all Lords.
Thank you for being our king.

Hallelujah in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I decree and declare that this day will be filled with peace, Filled with love, filled with light, filled with joy.

we will not magnify our problems, but we will focus on the one who solved the problems.

Father God, we keep our eyes fixated upon you and the kingdom of righteousness and everything shall be added on to us.

We will walk in truth.
We will walk in peace.
We will walk in the spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, have a blessed blessed Tuesday in Jesus name.

Amen.

One of my frustrations with my church is also the lack of participation by other members in the ministry.

I fully understand that there is a pecking order if you will

Some will have the vision
Some will finance the vision
Some will carry out the vision

Many instances these tend to intersect. The issue for me is when there are those who don't fall under either of them but always reap the benefits which leads others to always get burned out.

I'm glad we finally got another person to help out in the media team but when all of us have to be gone on the same Sunday, it causes issues
