The ABW Bad Spelling Hall of Shame

I started dabbling in writing a few years ago, partly due to picking up this freaky ass Zane anthology and partly because my english prof gushed at how well written this incomplete ass essay I turned in was. So I screenshot something I had freestyled and posted it on another site. Cool. Well the site took the png and compressed it, making it virually unreadable. So this chick hits me up about it' saying she was really interested in reading it, so I fire off the screenshot directly to her email. She hits me back maybe 15 minutes later and tells me that it's too smart, so I ask yall in the lounge: is this really too "smart" for urban fiction? And if so (or not) why does everything aimed at us have to be completely fuckin dumbed down? Here's the prose in question:

This nigga actually had the audacity to ask if his work is "too smart".

The 'consistant' audacity.

:hahaha:

Too smart meaning too wordy. Chill tha fuck out dude. Literally the first thing you do is catch feelings and name-call. Cool, you got it, but this thread has never been about that.

Spelling is no longer a big deal in education. Which sucks to me. I remember spelling being a major thing when I was in school. The teachers made sure you spelled correctly. Now, when I read a students paper, that shit be so butchered and unreadable, it’s crazy.

Even on these tests, If they spell something wrong. You can’t mark it wrong.

Unless it’s a spelling test.

This is definitely a southern thing.
