I didn't say it was exactly like his life or GRODT,but that he had a mother who was hustling in the streets.

From the trailer,it reminded me of like a reworking or loose prequel to GRODT.

I said similar not a carbon copy.

Ok... but I quoted people who were saying it's a carbon copy. That's my issue. It isn't. Are there small parallels you can draw? Yes. But I can draw plenty of parallels to myself and this story, doesn't mean it has shit to do with me.

Raising Kanan really isn't comparable to grodt and I don't know why niggas would try to cheapen it like that.

True, it takes place in Southside Queens.........but it's more interesting once you realize that the business his mother and uncles ran is the foundation of the business that he ran with Breeze.


Which, in turn, would become the business that Ghost and Tommy took over.

Maybe I just been watching too much of The Wire, but the writing felt kinda predictable this second episode. Like I knew exactly what was gon happen when Unique said a body was needed in the trailer last week.

Obviously 50 gonna draw from some personal experience like anyone in his shoes would if they lived that life.

What I'm saying is theres some of us in this thread that can draw those similar parallels as well if we look hard enough.

Raising Kanan and Grodt are not one in the same tho.

D Whiz' brother is going to go after Unique and nem, Unique not gon claim it but Buck's family probably will, this is going to mess up the deal Unique had with Howard. Now we got a whodunnit on our hands. D Wiz' brother gon find out who really killed his brother and then go at Kanan and his family because by Raq having Kanan invite D wiz to the house where his uncle was able to pick him up it's gonna look like Kanan was in on the setup.

That cop Burke gon bust this case wide open like Dungeness, and Howard is either gonna set her up or get her killed which will probably get her brother and dad involved.

Crazy theory: D Whiz' brother is Breeze which makes the end of that first paragraph null and void

Doesn't make it null and void if Kanan finds out what they did to his best friend and revolts against the family and ol boy takes Kanan under his wing.

yeah that theory is very popular

It could be,but if he found out about what happened,he can't be.

Going by how Power writers ,write it would add a level of intensity if he did turn out to be and never knew who did it and was kanan's mentor.

I doubt he is though,but won't discount it totally.
 
After catchin up all the eps, it doesn't tie into the original Power as much as Book II.. Everyone is waiting how he meets the boss Breeze, then Ghost, Tommy and Tasha when they were kids but it's taking a long ass time.
