STARZ - Heels (CANCELED After 2 Seasons)

Heels is a story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small town pro wrestling. Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion, as two brothers and rivals war over their late father’s legacy.

In the ring, somebody must play the good guy and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel. But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.

The drama series also stars Alison Luff as Staci Spade, Jack’s wife who learns that she has to contend with the emotional stakes her in-laws have invested in their wrestling goals and the demands it puts on her family; Mary McCormack as Willie Day, Jack’s business partner and the logistical brains behind the local wrestling organization; Kelli Berglund as Crystal Tyler, Ace’s valet and love interest; Allen Maldonado as Rooster Robbins, one of the best wrestlers in the circuit who always has something to prove and always backs it up; two-time Super Bowl champion James Harrison as Apocalypse, a been-around-the-block journeyman wrestler who’s been at it for decades and has no illusions of fame or glory; and Chris Bauer as Wild Bill Hancock, a larger-than-life former wrestling star who is now a high-level pro wrestling scout.

Along with Waldron, O’Malley and Segal, LBI Entertainment’s Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water, White Boy Rick, The Dirt), Chris Donnelly, and Patrick Walmsley will also serve as EPs. Heels is produced by Lionsgate TV for Starz in association with Paramount Television Studios.

Watch somebody get hurt for real in a match right before signing a deal to the big leagues....shit fuck around be a cliff hanger ending

I'm with it!

I used to watch a local promotion in Avondale Estates, right outside Decatur that was off the chain! They had a small space and a low roof, but their shows were always phenomenal. I hated that the promoter moved to Florida...

Jack an asshole for what he did changing the ending. Burn the house down instead of letting his brother come up? Hater shit.

Bruh, I just watched the first episode....

I don't know if it was the weed ... But holy shit I was into that shit...

Jack that nigga......I knew Amell was gonna knock this shit out the park

It wasn't even hate at that point.... Nigga said that shit about their father.... That was crazy...

I actually think Jack was right though .... It's not that he didn't believe in his brother, it's just that he felt it would have helped everybody for him to win the belt at a later date..... He was trying to grow the promotion and had bigger plans for his brother.... Giving him the belt that night gives them nothing else to build up.... Cuz he's now the face champ....

Even his plan of using the other dude to go heel fucked up cuz he retired.....

So he stuck on how to keep the shit interesting if his brother really leave ...I actually felt all that.... He's mainly wanna keep the promotion going.

Plan A was to use his brothers climb back to the title as tool to grow the promotion....so that when his brother does get the belt and eventually called up... At least his last run was good for the family business. He didn't want to crown him too early, cuz he believe his brother would serve himself and the promotion better on a longer chase for the belt.

Nobody else saw it that way. They wanted the instant gratification and had no faith in jacks plan.

The best part was when Ace was like why can't you just be happy for me? Are you for me or against me?

And Jack thru it right back. Why can't you trust and believe in me? You see my vision, and really don't give a fuck when it's really both our family business. Are you for or against me??

That shit was real as fuck and brutally honest. I side with Jack....

Fucking homie arm up was extreme. But it forces his plan to work. Cuz ace not going no where, and just like shorty description of him on the football field.... If they can get another crowd, people gonna feel sorry for Ace cuz he really went thru it.... And cheer his entire recovery and return 🤷🏿‍♂️
