I have a feeling that Maul and Vader will meet during this series. Maul acknowledged in Rebels that he can't beat Vader one-on-one. Only way he would know that is if he's experienced Vader's power himself

Maul know that Vader is Anakin so that's probably why he knows he can't beat him with the prophecy of Anakin being so powerful. I don't think Maul knows Vader power was cut in half though.
