Again...folks don't realize that a lot of his characters...including some of the big name ones...were meant to be a race other than the white ones you see. This was actually said by Stan Lee himself.

They only ended up like that due to the times. Which is one of the reasons why you now see a Black Nick Fury. Or a black a Kingpin in the Dare Devil movie.

I read that they filmed a lot of bonus cameos ahead of time, so hopefully we'll still get to see him for a few more years.
