Because men are supposed to be providers, so when a man is asking for money from a woman it looks bad. I believe in keeping the same energy, so since it’s about equality and gender roles shouldn’t exist (except when the woman benefits) so therefore it’s fair game for Mary to break bread, it sucks for her but the precedent has been set.
