Also East Coast was the only region that people felt the rappers felt they were superior. South Midwest and West Coast never gave that vibe.

NY Djs ultimately became a huge part of the reason the quality of the rap from NYers got so watered down. A bunch of Hot97 DJs got record deals and just started promoting their own artists and beefin with each other and not playing each other's music. RIP to Kay Slay but this nigga spent years pushing Papoose onto the public
