Spend That (Wicked A** Song or Is That Your Jam?)

People have said it out their own mouths. Tf. That larussell nigga was just saying a few months ago that lil Wayne influenced him to bang blood. There's some impressionable mfs out here. Just because it's not true for you doesn't mean its not true for someone else.

Niggas started banging blood because of Wayne but this here is just a happy go lucky song that wont be impressionable on young and grown people.

Her popularity was never a point of contention so there was no need to challenge it. The popularity of the song and its content is the heart of the issue my biggest issue being that you rarely see white execs pushing that content through mainstream white artists.

You don't need actually need me to name 7 mainstream black artists to get the point, you're just choosing to be difficult and it's boring.
I don't care what you say about my opinions.

But you lying if you say they boring. We on page 15.. Y'all engaged

This isn't the first time this has happened tho just the most recent. There are several instances its been brought up especially on this site. I can't help that you only keyed in this one particular time.

The way yall acting incredulous just because you haven't experienced a thing is frying me.

You're just confusing me now. You've gone from its not a problem yall making it out to be cause a thousand worst songs have been made 30 years ago, to its the reality of the Black community, to id rather a black exec not partake, to its not just the execs.

Enough.
And nothing changed from any of those discussions either. Which is why we ask why is this song getting so much attention? What is it about this song that got everybody in an uproar when it’s mild compared to the other shit that’s come out in the past?

The question should be why the song is being pushed as hard as it is when its not a good song by a good artist by any metric.

But the answer to your question is virality. The song is very viral atm so naturally it's being talked about more. Same as WAP was a topic of discussion, same as when When I See You was a discussion, same as when munch was a topic of discussion and so on. The more viral a song is the more discussions about it hit your timeline. Just because you've heard the discussion less about other and worst songs doesn't mean that isn't a sentiment people are having about said songs.

I knew that lol.
But according to some, she heard that Put it in your mouth version on her ride home, rushed to the stu, and told her engineers that she wanted to write an uplifting song from off Put it in your mouth.
She was inspired from the Put It in Your mouth song lol smh

Yall man lol

I pray

If you are the CEO of this artist, are you putting the song out?

Just a question, no bait

Yeah you right, but it seems like in this case it’s just viral for viral sake. At least in those other songs you mentioned there was something different or more outrageous that spurred the virality. This song not introducing anything that hasn’t been mentioned a million times in songs. Women been talking about rolling with criminals since forever. It’s classic women wanting a bad boy.

This topic has illicited more discussion than it’s worth.

You just made up an entire story lol. I said her song Video samples Put It In Your Mouth. And given her past statements on things like this, she had a similar commentary on Essencd Fest a couple years ago, it actually isn't a stretch to say the song would be her attempt at flipping the message of a song screaming "just put it in your mouth" lol.

Thats not the music exec I'd envision myself being so NO, but that attitude would probably take me out the running for being a music exec.

It's not for the empathetic. It's for people that champion fiscal bottom lines above everything. That ain't me.

And aside from all that its just not a good song. So we gotta ask why its being pushed so hard?

Does it same the Put it in Your Mouth version or the original song version?

Being pushed and being pushed in a way that it's an anthem or some shit

I even heard chicks say that the song was empowering lol.

I said. Id be dayum. Empowering?

I said how, it's telling us women to get money

Now mind you, I'm in the Waffle House and she's my waitress saying this shit to me. I just said, can I have a refill on my water and can I get it in a cup to go and left a 1.79 tip.

I should have wrote on that bitch, get money. But then Id be the asshole
Thank you

Shit like that
