On the first part I think they are asking you to multiply the two equations using the FOIL method so

(X-6) × (3x+1) = 3x^2 +X-18x-6 = 3x^2+17x - 6

Two is just adding them together
X-6+3x+1
4x-5

Three you subtract them and replace x with 2
X-6-3x+1
2-6-(3×2)+1
2-6-6+1
2-12+1
-10+1
-9
