This Miles could be on a potential redemption arc to get to OG Miles universe to see his father.

Yea Gwen's universe seems to work like a mood ring. When there's blue or dark colors, you can tell she's sad. With bright colors, shes in a better mood

This scene had me in the feels as a guy with a daughter. She bears her soul to her father. She's so scared she's going to lose Miles. "You're the best thing I've ever done."

Behind all the high stakes going on, is a story of two teenagers that have feelings for each other and feel isolated in their own respective world.
  • A year later, Miles is still on Gwen's mind cause he's the only one who understands her and knows her for who she is.
  • Miles wants to study Physics so he can travel dimensions to visit his friends (primarily Gwen)
  • Gwen could not care less about Miguel's backstory and is only interested in his watch cause it provides her a way to see Miles
  • Gwen is forbidden to see Miles and still disobeys the Spider Society's orders cause she misses him
  • She was willing to risk the multiverse just to spend an afternoon with him
  • Miles has pages upon pages of drawings of Gwen in his sketchbook
  • The talk on top of the tower where she basically tells Miles she's fallen for him but canon is stopping her from going all in
  • Her panicked reaction when Miles was under the rubble in Mumbattan
  • Miles was jealous of Gwen's connection to Hobie while Gwen got jealous when Miles was talking to Spider-Byte
  • Her reaction when Miles doesn't trust her anymore.
  • The fact that she only came back to her house to collect the Polaroid of her and Miles, she didn't intend to talk to her father
  • Her defending Miles and reassuring his parents that he loves them more than they could ever imagine (she saw how he went through the entire Spider Society to try to get back to save his father)
  • Miles actions and mentality inspire her on her arc throughout the film.
  • Her recruiting the Spider people who care about Miles to save him

Yeah, her spider sense might have been a plot hole. It should only tell when she is in danger. It would probably drive them crazy if their spider sense told other people in danger.

Still didnt take away from the movie for me.
 
Maybe her Spider-Sense triggers specifically for Miles, not just any person. They can be playing into them being linked on a different level or w.e. Or its something about Earth-42. I'm sure it'll be addressed
 
My son had an interesting theory about the Beyond the Spiderverse title for part 3. Said beyond might be the live action Miles Morales intro. Especially since they went live action a few times in this movie.

It doesn't make sense now that I think about it that Miguel, Jessica and Ben traveled to Earth-1610 cause wouldn't they know that Miles got bit by a Earth-42 spider

They assumed Miles would try to meet back and save his pops. Remember Jessica was tailing Miles dad that night they got back. It could be a plot hole too though but that's what I can think lol.

*Edit actually and this is a stretch lol but did they know HOW the spider appeared in Miles universe? It was Spot who was on 1610 originally who somehow dragged the 42 spider there in the first place.
 
Lol shit I have questions. Why did Earth-42 not collapse considering there's no Spider-Man there or Earth-1610 considering Miles is an anomaly?

There seems to be a way to avoid canon events though cause we saw Gwen's dad quit and nothing happened on Earth-65. Miles is hellbent that not every Spider-Man is destined to have to deal with tragic events in their life. It's free will vs destiny or determinism. It's why Miles wasn't phased when Gwen said it never ends up well when Gwen falls in love with Spider-Man. There's always a chance that it will work.
 
The universe didn't but the city certainly did lol but I do think we'll get more answers to that in Beyond.

Defying destiny and change are definitely being set up especially with Gwens dad showing not everything is set in stone. There's also more to Spider-Man 2099 than was let on he's possibly an unreliable narrator or at minimum a liar. He said Miles wasn't supposed to be Spider-Man but clearly fate said he was. The 42 spider if it never got sent over would've found other universe Miles creating Spider-Man anyway. It's OG Miles destiny to show the other Spiders to do your own thing. Gwen assembling the new crew is testament to that. Actually shoutout to Spider Punk as well he NEVER follows a script lol.
