So you die...

Duwop

Sometimes being the hero means saving the villain.
And you find out that life is like a video game. You get a do over....

But you get to pick the save point... And you can that 3 abilities with you.

Like whatever ability your imagination can think of... Super powers, more money, you can be more attractive or be hung like a porn star, anything you want... At any point you want
What would be your eta and abilities?

I think it’s a more interesting question without the abilities. Then people reveal at what point they feel like they could have chosen a better fork in the road or correct a mistake they regret. Real life altering shit. Abilities are a cheat code where you can basically choose a whole other road.

Anyway, if my kids weren’t a conversation, I’d go back to high school cause life before that wasn’t the greatest and life after that I could make better.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my life, but I would have been more focused in college and became the doctor I’d planned to be.

Considering my kids, I’d probably just go back to just after my youngest was born so I could keep all three.

I would want to go back to 2014

I just want to go back with the ability to know what I know now

The ability to teleport me and anything I touch

I don’t care for the abilities I just want to go to where things went off track and to be able to fix or avoid things

I'd restart at the 5th grade. That was about the time in my formative life where decisions started to matter.
My 3 abilities:
1) unlock 100% brain power efficiency, inspired by the movie Limitless.
2) retain every memory/knowledge obtained before my restart. basically having a full scope of what the future held in my past attempt
3) superhuman physical prowess

so basically I want to respawn as Batman lol

I like the cheat code aspect, but I get it.

I'd like to go to a different highschool. I always feel like that change alone would have made my life much different. And maybe even the military afterwards. But that's where the abilities would come in... Of I go to the military, I'd want a healing factor, power of influence, and super strength....

Basically be a super soldier. I know there is a lotta shady shit going on it the world, and I want in. I feel like if the government had an agent with powers.... They'd be going on some crazy missions.

This is what I actually think happens, however it’s not a save point you get to pick but a spawn point. And you won’t remember picking or the abilities that you pick. And your challenge as your new avatar is to figure that out as you go and contribute to the game in some way.

As far as the abilities. That’s hard because like a video game. Every ability you have, has a nerf.

Pick ultra confident, you’ll lean heavily narcissistic and a lot of your relationships will lack depth and your challenge will be that you need grow to learn to consider others more.

Pick being very attractive, and you’ll be oblivious to how your looks intimidate others. They project their fears onto you and actually being attractive isn’t what you think it is. And your challenge will be to find value in a world that refuses to give it to you because to give you something they feel like you already have, would be damaging to them.

Pick being super intelligent and the veil of humanity is removed, and just how miserable being human is. And the challenge will be to overcome what you know and still find fulfillment a world that’s hollow underneath

So every attribute you pick will come with a down side and because you forgot the deal you made. It’s not going to feel great to face the challenge.

I'd go back to being a freshman in college. College was when life had the best balance of responsibility and freedom. It wasn't better than my life now, but it was probably the most fun time of my life.

If we talking about fantasy abilities, I'd take telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation.
If we're being realistic, I'd want to have more money at that time and more motivation to do something productive with my time, natural abilities, and that money.
